Scott Levitz, DDS

Dr. Scott Levitz knew he wanted to be a dentist since he was in high school. His educational journey began at Michigan State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he proceeded to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree at SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, Dr. Levitz was actively involved the American Student Dental Association, holding several leadership roles, including member of the National Board of Trustees. Additionally, he enjoyed participating in dental outreach mission trips to provide dental services to underserved populations, both internationally in Buff Bay, Jamaica and throughout the United States. Dr. Levitz was also recognized with numerous awards throughout dental school, including the Delta Dental Student Leadership Award and Dean’s Choice Award in recognition for outstanding leadership, service and scholarship in dentistry. After earning his doctorate degree, Dr. Levitz completed a General Practice Residency at New York Medical College.

Dr. Levitz is most passionate about cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry and full-mouth rehabilitation. He has continued to expand his knowledge and skill set to ensure his patients receive the highest level of care by attending various continuing education courses. Dr. Levitz frequently attends continuing education courses at the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute, where he learns about occlusion (the way your teeth come together and how this affects the muscles and joints around them) from some of the most knowledgeable minds in dentistry. Dr. Levitz also enjoys learning at the Kois Center, another highly respected center for dental education. Dr. Levitz has also attended a live surgery course through Advanced Implant Education, where he received extensive training on the placement of dental implants.

Dr. Levitz maintains active membership in the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Suffolk County Dental Society and numerous study clubs. He is currently in the process of becoming a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.

When Dr. Levitz is not immersed in dentistry, he enjoys Olympic weightlifting, skiing and CrossFit. He loves to spend time with his family and friends, including his wife, Simone, and son, Max.
